ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the development, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based solutions within a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with GCP services, cloud-native technologies, and Infrastructure as Code practices. The role requires a strong technical background, a collaborative mindset, and a solid understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities ##

• * Design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Manage and optimize GCP services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and security teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Implement cloud security best practices and support compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and platform-related issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud environments and deployment processes.

Requirements ##

• Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of core GCP services, with particular expertise in Cloud SQL.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies.
• Solid proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Good understanding of cloud security principles and compliance requirements, including PCI standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications ##

• Google Cloud certifications.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.

• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned activities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Italian and English are required
