About the International Swimming League ##
The International Swimming League (ISL) is the professional, team-based swimming competition that established the sport's first true league format. Following a hiatus, ISL returns in December 2026 with an all-stars match at the London Aquatics Centre, building towards a full season in 2027.
The Geneva office operates as an international team working with elite swimmers, broadcast partners, and commercial partners across multiple territories. Social and digital content is central to how the relaunch reaches its audience, and we are looking for a Content Producer who can produce work of a consistently high standard across every channel.
Role purpose ##
The Content Producer is responsible for producing and designing content across ISL's social and digital channels to a high creative and technical standard. The role is production-focused: the primary output is excellent, platform-native content, delivered reliably and at pace. The post-holder works within the editorial voice and campaign framework set by the Digital Lead and ISL's partners, and is responsible for the craft of the content itself - design, video, and copy.
Key responsibilities ##
Content production and design
- Produce and edit content across ISL's owned channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook), tailored to the format and audience of each platform.
- Design social-native graphic assets, including static graphics, carousels, motion graphics, and score and countdown elements, and maintain a library of brand-compliant templates.
- Re-edit archive footage from previous ISL seasons into recaps, highlights, and feature content for the relaunch.
- Deliver same-day or next-day content turnaround during competition events and announcement moments, in line with agreed editorial schedules.
Copy and editorial
- Write clear, engaging captions and short-form copy aligned with ISL's tone of voice and brand guidelines, adapting register appropriately to each platform.
Performance and optimisation
- Monitor content performance using platform analytics, and apply those insights to inform and prioritise future content.
- Identify the formats and content types that resonate with each audience and develop them further, iterating on what performs well.
Community and event support
- Support day-to-day community engagement across ISL's channels within the agreed response framework.
- Provide on-site content capture and rapid-turnaround editing during ISL events, including the December event in London.
Asset and rights management
- Maintain accurate records of media assets, templates, and usage rights in accordance with ISL policy.
Essential qualifications and experience ##
- A minimum of three years' professional experience in content production, graphic design, or social media content creation.
- Strong graphic design capability, with demonstrable proficiency across a professional content toolset (Adobe Creative Cloud - including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects - or equivalent). Social-native tools such as CapCut are welcome, and AI-assisted workflows are acceptable provided the quality of output is maintained. We are principally concerned with the quality of the work, not the tools used to produce it.
- Demonstrated ability to produce social-native content across multiple platforms.
- Strong written English and the ability to write effective social copy.
- Competence in reading and applying social media analytics.
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables to deadline in a fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating professional-standard output. Candidates without accessible work samples will not be shortlisted.
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss, EU, or EFTA citizenship, or eligibility for a Swiss work permit).
Desirable qualifications and experience ##
- The ability to code (for example, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript) to build and customise digital content and assets.
- Experience designing, building, or managing websites and CMS platforms. Website design is a natural extension of strong graphic design skills and is considered a genuine advantage.
- Working proficiency in French, or a third language such as Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, or German.
- Prior experience in professional sport, with swimming or aquatics a particular advantage, whether in federations, clubs, agencies, or athlete management organisations.
- Experience working with elite athletes or other high-profile talent.
- An established personal presence on social media.
Personal attributes ##
- Strong visual judgement and attention to detail.
- Sound editorial judgement and the ability to maintain composure under time pressure.
- Discretion when working with athletes, partners, and confidential information.
- The ability to work independently while contributing constructively within a team.
- A genuine interest in sport and digital storytelling.
How to apply ##
Applications should include a curriculum vitae and a short covering note (no more than one page) addressing the following:
1. Three pieces of content you have made, with one sentence on why each one works.
2. A sporting moment that captured your attention, and how you would have covered it.
3. A piece of work you are proud of, with a link.
Candidates must include a portfolio or links to relevant work. Applications without accessible work samples will not be considered.
Applications should be sent to the email in this posting with the role title clearly stated in the subject line. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and asked to complete a short practical assessment.
Equal opportunities ##
ISL is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from qualified candidates regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
