**Senior Network Engineer**

**Job description**

The **Senior Network Engineer \- Campus \& Backbone Infrastructure** is responsible for the design, implementation, evolution, and support of Swatch Group's enterprise and industrial network infrastructure. Working closely with architects, operations teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, the role ensures secure, scalable, and reliable network services while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement.

**In this role, you are responsible to:**

* Design, implement, and maintain campus, backbone, and industrial network solutions

* Act as the technical expert for routing, switching, wireless technologies, and network segmentation

* Drive network performance, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives

* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions

* Translate business requirements into sustainable and scalable network services

* Contribute to network standards, best practices, and technical documentation

* Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing

* Participate in technology evaluations and infrastructure evolution projects

* Provide 3rd level support for complex incidents and critical issues

* Take the role of Engineer on Duty according to the planned schedule and role description

**Profile**

* Ability to lead technical initiatives and share knowledge with colleagues

* Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions

* Team\-oriented with the ability to work independently in a complex international environment

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

* Willingness to travel occasionally

**Professional requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification

* Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Engineering within enterprise environments

* Strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco DNA Center, BGP, OSPF, Wireless LAN, and network segmentation

* Experience with WAN, MAN, MPLS, and IP routing infrastructures

* Good understanding of network security principles, including Fortinet, NAC, segmentation, and secure access solutions

* Experience with network automation and programmability using Python, APIs, Ansible, or Infrastructure as Code

* Knowledge of network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tools

* Understanding of industrial networking environments (OT) is an asset

* Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices

* Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Network\+ are an asset
