Process Engineer - Suspended Minerals & Wet Processing

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead process optimization and operational excellence initiatives across suspended mineral and wet processing operations.

• Provide process engineering leadership for capital projects, including process design, flowsheet development, equipment specification, commissioning, and performance validation.

• Support scale\-up and industrialization of new products, technologies, and manufacturing processes.

• Analyze operational performance using process data, advanced analytics, and structured problem\-solving methodologies to identify sustainable improvement opportunities.

• Drive digitalization initiatives by implementing modern process monitoring, data analytics, and performance management tools.

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Product Development, and R\&D teams worldwide.

• Develop and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and process documentation.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and plant teams.

• Contribute to sustainability initiatives through improved resource utilization, water management, energy efficiency, and process reliability.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Precipitation and mineralization processes

• Slurry preparation and handling systems

• Media stirred mills and wet grinding technologies

• Flotation, filtration, thickening, and dewatering

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Minerals Processing, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

• 5\+ years of experience in chemical processing, mineral processing, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.

• Strong understanding of wet processing operations and process scale\-up.

• Experience supporting CAPEX projects and commissioning activities.

• Experience with advanced data analytics, digital process monitoring, process modelling, machine learning applications, simulation software, or advanced process control is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent in English.

• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30%)
