Senior Software Engineer, Desktop Applications

You will take technical ownership of a cross-platform desktop application, working on a new Rust-based technology stack for Windows and Linux clients.

Tasks

• Assess new technologies and support cross-team technical decision making
• Transform product specifications into technical requirements and lead implementation
• Implement, deploy and maintain existing and new product features
• Enhance software development lifecycle, tools and processes for scalability
• Write clear, concise and testable code to maintain codebase quality
• Manage scoping, planning and execution of new features and technical initiatives
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of learning and quality

Profile

• Significant professional software development experience with Rust, or strong modern C++ background
• Experience developing cross-platform Windows and Linux desktop applications
• Familiarity with native or cross-platform desktop UI frameworks
• Ability to make architectural decisions and contribute to strategic technical planning
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues remotely
• Understanding of secure coding practices
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

Offer

• Up to 30% home office, three core days in the office
• 3–6 months interim, then a permanent position
