he International Space Science Institute (ISSI) in Bern is looking for a reliable and

service-oriented Secretary (50%) to join our small and international team from January 1,

2027 on.

Your responsibilities as our Secretary, you will take care of a broad range of administrative and organisational

tasks. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Welcoming and supporting visitors, guests and international scientists

• Supporting the calculation and processing of guest reimbursements

• Keeping the cafeteria and common areas organised and in good order

• Recording creditor invoices in Abacus

• Supporting hotel reservations and invoice checks, as required

• Providing general administrative support to the team and taking on additional tasksas neededYour qualifications

• A completed Commercial Apprenticeship (KV EFZ) or equivalent qualification

• organisational skills and a structured, detail\-oriented way of working

• Experience of using Abacus Business Software is a major asset

• Native speaker with a very good command of English both spoken andwritten; a good command of French is an advantage

• Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectivelyin a small but diverse team

This is a staff position under Swiss law, up to 50% of time effort, negotiable. The salary is

commensurate to qualifications and experience. Employment conditions are similar to those

of the University of Bern.
